In December 2022, I received an email from uphold saying that my account has been flagged for review and they are restricting any transfers (can’t move any crypto out). It happened right after I logged into my account using a VPN. So maybe a login from a new IP address triggered this? But the VPN IP I used is in the same city/location. Has anyone experienced this? Luckily, this is a brand new account, and I don’t have any crypto on it yet.

Your account has been cleared at this time, but you will continue to experience issues if you continue to use that particular VPN.

My Recommendation is to use a dedicated/residential VPN address when accessing Crypto Exchanges. Many VPNs allow dedicated/residential IPs – Torguard, NordVPN, Surfshark.

My tip to everyone. Use Twitter and Social Media to your advantage. I noticed if we post our complaint on social media (e.g. Twitter) and tag the company, we get a faster response and resolution.
