Crypto Cards

NEW! Best Crypto Debit Cards for 2025 Compared

Crypto Debit cards allow you to spend your crypto at the store or online. And even let you withdraw cash from an ATM. The cryptocurrency is automatically converted into USD or Euro or other local currency during purchase. This is beneficial since you don’t need to transfer your crypto to the exchange and cash it out, before you can spend it.

Here are typical fees you need to review before selecting a card:
• Inactivity Fee – if you let you card sit unused for too long, you will be charged monthly fees
• Monthly/Annual Fee – some cards charge a monthly or an annual fee just for having the card
• Foreign Transaction Fee – most cards are denominated in either USD or EURO. This means if you are spending the cards in a foreign country that has its own local currency, you will typically have to pay of a foreign transaction fee up to 3.5% of the total transaction.
• Load / top-up fee – some cards charge you a percentage of the amount of crypto you send to the card
• Transaction fee – some cards charge you an additional fee for each transaction you make. Some fees apply to online payments, or pos (local store payment).
• ATM withdrawal fee – withdrawing cash from an atm often comes with an additional fee
• Sign-up fee – some cards make you pay $10 to $30 to activate your physical card. Often a virtual card that you add to google pay/apple pay has zero activation cost.
• Conversion fee – each card converts your crypto into fiat. Some charge much higher fees to do this, than others.
• Double conversion – depending on your country, the card may need to perform a double currency conversion. For example if your card is a EURO card and you are using USDT crypto, and are in a country with its own local currency. The card would convert USDT to EURO, and then another conversion from EURO to whatever the local currency is. I read reviews that some stores don’t allow double conversion resulting in card being declined. To avoid this, convert the crypto in your card to EURO yourself, ahead of time, this way only a single conversion needs to be done at the store.

Each card has its own jurisdiction. Meaning only people in specific countries can sign up for those cards. Some cards are normal crypto payment cards that require full KYC. But some cards are pre-paid cards with either limited or NO KYC required. Some cards don’t have a physical card, but only a virtual card, which you can use for online payments or wherever google/apple pay is accepted. Some cards like Volticard, have warnings, stating the virtual card may not be accepted everywhere because of lack of a “3d secure” feature.

Here are a few websites I found that will accept crypto as payment for anything you can imagine, from hotels and airplane tickets to video games and paying your bills.

Note: Many other U.S. websites like Newegg (electronics) accept crypto through Bitpay. So check out Bitpay to see what other sites accept crypto as payment in USA.
