Donald J Trump: Christians Have to Vote – Turning Point USA Summit 7/26/24

  • I will protect Christians and other Religions
  • New Federal task force on fighting Anti-Christian bias
  • Christians do not vote proportionately
  • Christians – Get Out and Vote

With your vote, I will defend religious liberty in all of its forms. I will protect Christians. in our schools, in our military, in our government. in our workplaces, in our hospitals, and in our Public Square. and I will also protect other religions. We want that, right? other religions. and we will bring our country back together. One Nation. Under God.

As soon as I take the oath of office, I will stop the Biden Harris administration’s weaponization of law enforcement, against Americans of Faith. And against, frankly, their political opponent. No longer will their DOJ and FBI be allowed to target, persecute, or round up Christians, or pro-life activists, and throw them in jail, for living out their religious beliefs. and that’s what they’ve been doing. They’ve been doing it at levels that this country has never seen before. Americans of Faith are not a threat to our Country. Americans of Faith are the Soul of our Country.

I will create a new federal task force on fighting anti-christian bias. And its Mission will be to investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment, and persecution, against Christians in America.

And by the way. Christians have to Vote. you know. I don’t want to scold you. But do you know, that Christians do not vote proportionately. they don’t vote like they should. They’re not big voters. You know, who else, NRA voters. the NRA endorsed me. very powerfully. strongest endorsement they can give. National Rifle Association. People that own guns and rifles are not big voters. they have to vote. If you don’t vote. We’re not going to win the election. if you do vote, we’re going to win in a landslide, too big to rig. we’re going to win in a landslide. but Christians, you know, you’ll go to church every Sunday. and Pastor Paula White, and all of the people, I understand they’re doing lock boxes in churches. where people don’t even have to go to vote. They can now vote in church. and if you do that, we’re going to win by numbers that nobody’s ever seen before. you know, you have tremendous power, but you just don’t know that. but you have to use that power. Christians are a group, that’s known not to vote very much. You have to go out. at least this election. Just give us and get us into that beautiful White House.

We have to win this election. Most important election ever. We want a landslide that’s too big to rig. If you want to save America, get your friends, get your family, get everyone you know and vote. Vote early. Vote absentee. Vote on election day. I don’t care how, but you have to get out and vote. And again. Christians, get out and vote. Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. 4 more years. You know what? it’ll be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote in any more, My beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. I’m a Christian. I love you. Get out. you got to get out and vote. In 4 years you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good. You’re not going to have to vote.

NotebookLM AI Summary:

At the Turning Point USA “The Believers’ Summit” in West Palm Beach, Florida, former President Donald Trump delivered a wide-ranging speech focused on faith, immigration, economic reform, and sharp criticisms of the current administration. Trump opened the event by noting that he had removed the bandage from his ear following the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, attributing his survival to the “power of prayer and the grace of almighty God”.

The following key themes emerged from his address:

Political Attacks and the 2024 Race
Trump characterized President Joe Biden’s exit from the race as a “coup” by the Democratic Party, alleging that Biden was forced out under the threat of the 25th Amendment. He shifted his focus to Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her the “most far-left” and “incompetent” vice president in history. He criticized her record as “border czar,” claiming she has attempted to distance herself from a failed administration. He further alleged that her judicial appointments would “shred our constitution” and “pack the court” with additional justices.

Faith and Religious Liberty
Central to the summit, Trump announced a new coalition called “Believers for Trump”. He vowed to:

  • Defend religious liberty in schools, the military, and the workplace.
  • Create a federal task force to fight “anti-Christian bias” and investigate discrimination against Christians.
  • Protect the right to worship in public schools, noting he was the first president to convene a UN meeting on ending religious persecution.

Trump made a specific appeal to Christian and Catholic voters, questioning how they could support the Democratic Party, which he claimed “viciously attacked” judicial nominees based on their faith.

Immigration and “Migrant Crime”
Trump leaned heavily into border security, promising to launch the “largest deportation operation” in American history on his first day in office. He claimed that millions of people, including those from “prisons, jails, mental institutions, and insane asylums,” are crossing the border. He introduced the term “migrant crime,” alleging that other countries, such as Venezuela, are intentionally “dumping” their criminals into the United States.

Economic and Domestic Policy
To combat inflation, Trump promoted a policy of “drill baby drill” to lower energy costs and vowed to terminate the “green new scam”. Other notable proposals included:

  • “No Tax on Tips”: A proposal he credited to a conversation with a waitress in Las Vegas.
  • Protection of Entitlements: He pledged not to cut “one penny” from Social Security or Medicare, nor to raise the retirement age.
  • Education Reform: He promised an executive order to cut federal funding for schools pushing “critical race theory” or “transgender insanity”.

Foreign Policy and National Defense
Trump highlighted his past support for Israel, recounting how he built the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem under budget using “Jerusalem Stone”. He criticized Harris for not attending Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent speech to Congress, claiming she has “stabbed Israel in the back”. For national defense, he proposed building a “great Iron Dome missile defense shield” over the U.S., which would be manufactured entirely within the country.

Call to Action for Voters
In his conclusion, Trump urged Christians to vote in this specific election, stating, “just this time… you won’t have to do it anymore” because he intended to “fix” the country’s issues so thoroughly within four years. He framed November 5th as the most important day in the history of the country, a “period” marking the end of what he described as a nation in decline.

Analogy for Understanding: Trump’s vision for his potential second term is like a major home renovation after a disaster: he argues the current “tenants” have ruined the structure (the country), and he plans to evict the unauthorized residents (deportation), overhaul the wiring and power (energy and economy), and install a state-of-the-art security system (the Iron Dome) to ensure the house never falls into disrepair again.
