Nathan French: Is God in Control!
Official Nathan French
Feb 21, 2025

7:30 – when you know this goodness of God, then it leads you to recognizing, that a lot of the things people blame God for, he had nothing to do with. and so it’s really important that we don’t judge God, or say God’s in control of everything. because he’s not, by Design. he gave us Authority on the earth, as joint heirs, and co-laborers, seated in Heavenly places, to rule and reign, as Kings and Priests, operating in the anointing.

9:05 – what God is saying, is like, I taught you this framework: on Earth, as it is in heaven. and so we’re meant to Rule and Reign, here on the Earth. and make decisions, make choices, that that that interrupt patterns that are evil. and so that we can shine as the light of the world. and as the salt… being a salty Christian is being somebody who brings flavor… what good is it, if it loses its flavor…

Matthew 5:13-14 – “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

10:22 – Be a salty Christian. Be one who testified to the goodness of God, all the time. and help people recognize, that God is not in full control, by Divine design. he designed everything to where we would work with him, relationally. but where he’s not doing everything. faith is the substance of Hope, for the evidence of things not yet seen. so when we’re believing for different things to take place, we can pray. God tees it up. But, He’s given us Authority, as authorized ambassadors for Christ. he has given us a position as Christians, to be able to rule and reign with him. so it’s when we come into agreement with his will. that we start to be empowered, to carry out his purpose, on the Earth, as it is in heaven. so we’re doing things with God, on the Earth. but he’s not in full control, by design. because he gave us Authority. that means you’ve been authorized to operate as a king, as a priest, on the earth, judicially. to make decisions.

Ephesians 2:6 – In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world

11:23 – think about this. you know, what you bind on Earth, will be bound in heaven. what you loose on Earth, will be loosed in heaven. what does that mean? Well, it means, that what you allow to take place on the earth, will be allowed to take place. what you do not allow on the earth. so we have judicial empowerment granted by God himself. the creator of the universe, the one who spoke it all into being. he did it as an example. Let There Be, and then there was. and then let there be, and then he makes us in His image and likeness. and he says now you do it. now you speak. now I’m going to give you, life and death in the power of your tongue. so you can bring either one. but I’m giving you the free will to choose. you can rob, you can destroy. or you can build. because life and death in the power of the tongue, and be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry. the tongue is like the rudder of a ship. it directs the whole body. so you get to decide. and hopefully you’re yielded to the spiri.t you pursue the Lord for his will, and what does the spirit want. and then when you start to agree with what the spirit is saying. and you start speaking as though you’re speaking the very Oracles of God, not worrying about what you will say. but having the fear of the Lord. that reverential desire to do his will.

Proverbs 18:21 – The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

NotebookLM AI Summary:

The source material is a summary of a teaching by Nathan French challenging the common belief that God is entirely in control of everything, emphasizing instead human free will, authority, and responsibility.

God’s Control, Free Will, and Blame
The speaker argues that the idea that “God’s in control of everything” is often the reason people blame God for bad things, such as loss or suffering. He clarifies that the Devil comes to rob, kill, and destroy, while Jesus came to give abundant life. Therefore, people should not blame God for what the devil does.

God’s highest goal is for humanity to love one another, which requires receiving love from Him as the source. God grants free will because love is a choice; He does not force people to love Him. Love, as described in 1 Corinthians, does not seek its own way or force itself, which is why God, being loving, does not compel obedience. When people experience God’s grace and goodness, it leads them to repent, which means changing their mind and direction to come toward Him instead of running away.

Delegated Authority and Judicial Power
The speaker stresses that God is not in full control by Divine design because He delegated authority to humanity. In the beginning, God spoke things into being, and then He made humans in His image and likeness, telling them to “subdue the Earth” and multiply, giving them the responsibility to take charge of the planet.

Believers are authorized as ambassadors for Christ and are given a position to rule and reign as joint heirs and co-laborers. This authority includes judicial empowerment. The speaker highlights the significance of the biblical principle: “what you bind on Earth will be bound in heaven, what you loose on Earth will be loosed in heaven”. This means that humans have the power to allow or disallow things on Earth, demonstrating that God is not doing everything. Furthermore, the power of the tongue can bring either life or death, so believers are urged to be quick to listen and slow to speak and anger, choosing to speak the “very Oracles of God”.

The concept of spiritual authority was illustrated when the speaker was prevented from granting permission to a news team during COVID-19 to document his ministry. He realized that the enemy (and those acting against God’s will) needs permission to operate spiritually, and by disallowing them, their evil plan is restricted.

The Role of the Holy Spirit and Ministry
The Holy Spirit leads believers in all truth, enabling them to discern the difference between truth and lies and test the spirits. God is currently pouring out His Spirit on “All Flesh,” described as the beginning of the greatest move of the spirit of God ever witnessed, where churches are becoming “presence driven” rather than program driven. This outpouring leads to salvation, which is the greatest miracle, transforming people through Christ living in them.

Believers are encouraged to be “salty Christians,” meaning they bring flavor by constantly testifying to the goodness of God. This act of “salting” creates thirst, causing people to desire the “Living Water” of the Holy Spirit.

The speaker, Nathan French, is currently in Fort Lauderdale and plans to minister at The River Church in West Palm Beach. He invites viewers to seek prayer or request him to minister at their event by visiting Nathan French Ministries.com.
